Hygiene: oral hygiene

Good hygiene is important for you and your clients. Here are some tips.

Oral hygiene

Good oral hygiene makes it more difficult for STIs to enter your body. Healthy gums are pink and don't bleed when you brush your teeth.

  • Go to the dentist regularly.
  • Brush your teeth frequently but do not brush shortly before or shortly after oral sex. Brushing your teeth may cause minor damage to your gums, which increases the risk of passing on STIs.
  • Do not perform oral sex when your oral mucosa is damaged by cold sores, small wounds, blisters, mouth ulcers, etc.
  • Just rinsing your mouth between customers is enough. Use alcohol-free mouthwash and choose a product that does not disrupt your natural oral flora.
