Safer sex tips: fingering

Below are some tips on how to perform different sex activities safely.

Fingering

The risk of contracting an STI if a client performs vaginal fingering is almost non-existent. However, there is a small risk if the customer first satisfies himself and fingers you afterwards. Do not finger someone if you have wounds or abrasions on your fingers or hands. If you do finger, put a dam between the wounds and the vaginal mucosa.

TIPS

  • Make sure the customer's hands are clean. If necessary, ask him/her to wash their hands.
  • Are there abrasions? Cover them with a plaster or use a glove or finger condom.
  • Fingering someone else? Look out for any wounds on the vagina. In doubt? Use a glove or cover the wounds / blisters with a glove.
