Monkeypox

Be alert for monkeypox!

Information about the disease, symptoms, diagnosis, risks of infection, vaccination, other protective measures, ... can be found in this FAQ.

Anyone who has risk contacts with someone who is infected can get monkeypox.

At the moment, in Europe, the virus is mainly diagnosed in men who have sex with men with frequently changing sexual contacts. They have an increased risk.

Vaccination is possible with the vaccine that has previously been used against smallpox. Currently there are not enough vaccines, which means that not everyone who wants to be vaccinated can do so.

Certain groups with an increased risk, including male and transgender sex workers, are the first to receive preventive vaccination.

Do you want to get vaccinated? Contact Violett.
