When you have an STD, it is important to be treated as soon as possible. In certain cases, an untreated STD may lead to serious complications.

Luckily, most STDs are treatable if they are addressed in time.                                         

STDs caused by bacteria can be treated with antibiotics.  STDs caused by a virus are harder to treat.  A cure is not always possible.  It is however possible to treat the complaints. There are also specific treatments for STDs caused by parasites.  When you have an STD, it is essential to contact recent sex partners, so that they can also be tested and/or treated. It helps to prevent the spreading of STDs.
